Mighty Car Mods is an independent automotive series created by a couple of friends, Marty and Moog who started filming videos on Martys mum's driveway in 2007. They've come a long way since then but still have an unwavering focus to show their viewers fantastic automotive projects that they can do themselves at home. The MCM boys make cars, and they make movies. In fact they do it all, including the music, editing, and automotive with some help from their friends along the way. Being completely independent, the boys don't have to answer to anyone except their own creative spirit and their focus is on quality over quantity. It doesn't matter if you have a brand new turbo charged beast, or an old banger found in your grandfathers shed. Mighty Car Mods openly embraces anyone who wants to better themselves and their cars through involvement with the MCM Community.
I would absolutely have shat my pants multiple times if I got to drive around Bathurst at speed, I appreciate the real attitude. It's okay to be nervous! You did an amazing job!!
Heard u read every comment.. moog provide a track list for EVERY vid ya do with links please bud.. ur jams are appreciated and many peeps would loveto hear more at their own discretion.
The winch isn't going to use 6kW pulling that thing only problem I can see is if you're too stuck, the winch will then pull more than you can safely supply the alternative being a smaller winch not being able to turn
I love the Exige. However, Moog never sounded comfortable in it and in a way I'm glad it's being moved on because of that. Plus that money can go toward multiple nugget goodness.
I drove my mr2 on the Nürburgring and it was incredible, the feeling when you go in a dip or go up a peek is like gravity on or off. Was pretty slow though btg ~11:50 I think.
You so need some one on one driver tuition for your track driving, there’s so much that you could learn to make you more comfortable, safer and faster... it’s cheaper than tuning, sticky tyres or big brakes and will be relevant to any car you own and on road and track.
Damn, for years I've loved the videos you guys make, but this one was something else. This made me realize that the reason I modify cars is to make people smile and not because I want to go faster.
ok so im on punt road servo last week and a black lotus exige s pulls up, i totally forgot what one you were looking for but if its a black one its around south yarra regulary. melbourne,
I think they have this track in FM7, because I know I've driven this track in a video game and damn the amount of times I crashed on this track from either the blind corners or from just lifting off the track because of bumps was absurd. I can't imagine driving this course fast. You've got my respect.
Great job on the car all round. Really can understand why you’d be selling it as sad as it can be. Driven/ridden not hidden is how it should always be with our pride and joys.
Got a little emotional at the end there. It felt like you were explaining how you'd saved some rare endangered animal nursed it back to health and were now releasing it back into the wild. Beautiful, just beautiful!
hey moog, have you considered heel toe downshifts, will keep your rear wheels planted better before cornering, won't have the sudden jolt of the motor and drive line re-engaging
On driving segments of the videos it would be nice if you did a picture in picture kind of thing where there was always a view of the road ahead. Feels like we miss some of the track experience when we switch to the cab shots.
Yeah, your lines suck. Thought that just before you mentioned it at 8:40. But you’re doing something I may never do. You’re a legend. I do a bit of sim racing in iRacing and know Bathurst well. Going over skyline scares the shit out of me every time. Maybe if you have time try it out someday.
Is moog truly just an eloquent artist at speed running life? Or was that thing just too much of a nut bar for him? Lol great series, can't wait for what's to come
